Our Flavourful History
The Restaurant is housed in an authentic boat building shop. The building has recently been renovated but has retained its character and heritage appeal. Shipbuilding in the area can be traced back to 1790, when one of the first vessels built on PEI was crafted in Northport. Boat building continues to play an important role in the life in the community.
Our Mouth-Watering Menus
Our breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert menus have been designed to provide our customers with the opportunity to experience tasty traditional fare and palate pleasing specialties. 
Our Casual Ambiance
Enjoy our decor of aged wood, walls thick with memorabilia, eighteen foot ceilings, multi level dining area and classical and eclectic furnishings. Local antiques, flea market finds, plank floors and Maritime pieces set a playful yet upbeat tone. Outdoor dining is available on our patio for those who wish to bask in the fresh ocean air and the marvel at the sounds of the sea.

Gaze at the breathtaking view of Cascumpeque Bay and Northport
Harbour. Admire the Island’s finest fishing fleet. Be entertained as fishers bring their bounties of the sea to shore and unload the day’s catch. Watch fishing vessels and sailboats as they enter the mouth of the harbour and dock in the Marina.
Our Outstanding Service
Our staff is committed to providing personalized service that will exceed your expectations. We encourage our staff to participate in menu tasting and wine pairing. Our servers are local people with knowledge and understanding of menu items, drink items, wine selections, local history, culture, geography and activities and attractions in the area.
Group Bookings / Weddings
The Boat Shop Steak & Seafood Restaurant has seating for approximately 80-100 guests, with the ability to accommodate bus tours. Please book in advance. We do offer special rates for large groups.
